Accessibility Statement

Last updated: January 2026

Our commitment

Service Above Self means everybody, so this website is built to be usable by people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by the Department of Justice's 2024 web accessibility rule under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What we have done

  • Semantic headings, landmarks, and a skip-to-content link on every page.
  • Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus indicator on links, buttons, and form fields.
  • Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast ratios in both light and dark modes.
  • Labels on every form field, and errors announced to assistive technology.
  • Meaningful alternative text on images, and decorative images hidden from screen readers.
  • Tap targets sized for comfortable use on phones and tablets.
  • A calendar that works as an accessible table, not only as a visual grid.

Known limitations

The embedded map on our contact page is provided by Google and we do not control its accessibility. The full street address is always listed in text next to it, so the information is available without the map.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site is hard to use, or you need club information in another format, let us know through the contact form and we will get it to you another way. We treat access reports as a priority and respond as quickly as our volunteers can.

Accommodations at our events

Need an accommodation to attend a meeting or event? Contact us ahead of time and we will make arrangements.
